ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to develop a monitoring system to help track project’s progress in real-time. It is currently in the process of developing a tech-based project management system that will enable the authority’s administration to ensure its timely completion.
The CDA Chairman and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner, Aamer Ali Ahmed, directed a robust monitoring mechanism to be devised. Cameras will be installed at all sites that will be connected to a monitoring system directly in CDA headquarters; providing a 24/7 live stream and generating progress data that will be available through an app as well. Initially, they have been installed at the Burma bridge construction site and the Sector G-7/G-8 underpass. Gradually, it will expand to other sites too, including the Park Enclave and the Capital Hospital. With developmental work resuming, the new monitoring system will help the CDA ensure they are completed within the given time frame.
